Ingredients

Units Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 packet unflavored gelatin (about 7 grams)
  • 1 cup hot water (not boiling, around 180°F)
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 scoop clear protein powder (20-25g protein)
  • Optional: sugar-free drink mix (for flavor)

Instructions

  1. Mix hot water and gelatin: Pour 1 cup hot water into a bowl.
  2. Bloom gelatin: Sprinkle gelatin evenly over the surface and let sit 2 minutes to bloom.
  3. Dissolve gelatin: Stir until the gelatin is fully dissolved and the mixture looks clear.
  4. Add flavor (optional): If using, stir in sugar-free drink mix until dissolved.
  5. Add protein powder: Slowly whisk in clear protein powder (go gradually to avoid clumps and foam).
  6. Rest and skim foam: Let the mixture rest 2–3 minutes; skim foam from the top if needed.
  7. Add cold water: Stir in 1 cup cold water.
  8. Portion: Pour into small ramekins or portion cups.
  9. Chill to set: Refrigerate at least 3 hours (overnight is even better) until set.

Notes

  • Refrigerate at least 3 hours to allow gelatin to fully set; overnight chilling improves texture.
  • Gradually whisk protein powder to prevent clumps and foam.
  • Optional sugar-free drink mix can add flavor without added sugar.
