Delight your senses with Zebra Cookies — beautifully swirled vanilla and chocolate cookies that are tender, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Perfect for festive baking, cozy treats, and impressively artistic cookie platters! #zebracookies #marbledcookies #bakingjoy

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 1 tablespoon milk (if needed)

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  2. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.

  3. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.

  4. Divide the dough into two equal parts. Mix cocoa powder into one half to create chocolate dough.

  5. Take small portions of each dough and gently twist and roll them together to form a marbled, zebra-like pattern.

  6. Flatten the dough slightly and use a round cookie cutter to shape.

  7. Place the cookies onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  8. Chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to help maintain their shape.

  9. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are just set. Avoid overbaking to keep them soft.

  11. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Adding a tablespoon of milk can help if the dough feels too crumbly.

  • For a stronger chocolate flavor, increase cocoa powder slightly.

  • These cookies freeze well — store in an airtight container for up to 2 months.
