This refreshing Virgin Green Tea Shot combines zesty citrus flavors with a whiskey alternative and peach juice for a delightful non-alcoholic cocktail experience, perfect for enjoying solo or sharing.

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup organic cane sugar
  • 1 cup freshly-squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup freshly-squeezed lime juice ((That’s about 4 limes, depending on size))
  • 1/2 ounce whiskey alternative ((I love using Ritual Zero Proof))
  • 1/2 ounce peach juice ((You can also sub with peach juice))
  • 1/2 ounce homemade sour mix
  • 1 splash lemon-lime soda ((I love using Olipop for a healthier twist))
  • lime wedges, optional ((I love topping my shot glasses with lime wedges tossed in sugar for a fancy look))

Instructions

  1. TO MAKE THE HOMEMADE SOUR MIX: Begin by juicing the lemons and limes for an easy cooking process. You can definitely do this by hand (along with a strainer) or using a citrus juicer.
  2. Bring to boil: In a saucepan over medium-high heat, add together the water and sugar (stirring them to combine) and bring to a boil, about 1-2 minutes. Add the lemon and lime juice and let boil for another minute before removing from heat and letting everything cool completely.
  3. TO MAKE THE SHOT(S): In a cocktail shaker, add the whiskey alternative, pear juice, and cooled sour mix, shaking it together until combined. NOTE: You can also whisk everything together in a bowl if it’s easier as well.
  4. Fill shot glasses: For each shot, fill the shot glass until 3/4 full and top with lemon-lime soda. If using, add your lime wedge and the very top of glass. Repeat for all shots.
  5. Sip and Enjoy!
