For the Patties
1lb ground beef
1/2cup panko breadcrumbs
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 large egg
2 tbsp ketchup
2 tsp dijon mustard
1 garlic clove, minced
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Gravy
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 medium onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
8oz mushrooms, sliced
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2cups beef broth
2 tsp dijon mustard
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Prepare Patties: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, panko, Italian seasoning, egg, ketchup, Dijon mustard, garlic, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into 4 oval patties.
Brown Patties: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add patties and cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
