These Pink Iced Donuts with Sprinkles are soft, fluffy yeast-raised donuts topped with a sweet vanilla pink glaze and colorful rainbow sprinkles. Perfect for parties, brunch, or a cheerful treat anytime.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/4 tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk (about 110°F / 43°C)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Oil for frying

For the pink glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tbsp milk
  • 12 drops pink or red food coloring
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Topping:

  • Rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk and granulated sugar. Stir in yeast and let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the yeast mixture with melted butter, egg, flour, and salt. Knead until a smooth, elastic dough forms (5–7 minutes by hand or using a stand mixer).
  3. Transfer dough to a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for 1–1.5 hours or until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Use a donut cutter (or round cutters) to cut out donut shapes.
  5. Place cut donuts on parchment-lined baking sheets. Cover loosely with a towel and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry donuts in batches, about 1–2 minutes per side, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, food coloring, and vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust milk for desired glaze consistency.
  8. Dip each donut into the pink glaze, allowing excess to drip off. Immediately top with rainbow sprinkles.
  9. Place glazed donuts on a wire rack and allow the glaze to set before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure milk is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast properly.
  • You can make the dough a day ahead and let it rise overnight in the fridge.
  • Adjust glaze color intensity by adding more or fewer drops of food coloring.
  • Sprinkles must be added while the glaze is still wet to stick properly.
  • Donuts are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for 1–2 days.
