Flaky mini croissants filled with chive cream cheese, peppery arugula, and delicate slices of prosciutto or smoked ham. Perfect as a savory brunch treat, elegant party bite, or stylish afternoon snack.

Ingredients

  • 8 mini croissants (fresh or store-bought)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tbsp chives, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 oz prosciutto or smoked ham (thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup fresh arugula leaves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Slice mini croissants horizontally without cutting all the way through.
  2. In a small bowl, mix cream cheese with chives, lemon zest, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture inside each croissant.
  4. Add a small handful of arugula and a folded slice of prosciutto or ham to each.
  5. Press gently to close the croissants and arrange them on a serving tray.
  6. Optionally, brush the tops with a bit of olive oil for added shine.
  7. Serve immediately or store chilled until ready to serve.
