Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup pastel M&Ms for the dough (+ more for decorating on top)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter: Melt butter and let cool for 5 minutes.
  3. Sift dry ingredients: Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into a bowl. Set aside.
  4. Mix wet ingredients: Mix melted butter and sugars together in a separate bowl. Stir in the egg and vanilla.
  5. Combine: Combine wet and dry ingredients and stir. Mix in white chocolate chips and pastel M&Ms.
  6. Scoop cookies: Scoop using a medium cookie scoop onto ungreased or parchment paper-lined baking sheets.
  7. Bake: Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes. While cookies bake, cut a handful of M&Ms in half using a sharp knife. These will be bunny ears.
  8. Decorate: Once the cookies come out of the oven press bunny ears into the hot cookie right next to any M&Ms that are sticking out of the cookie. If you don’t see a lot of visible M&Ms go ahead and press some into the hot cookies then add the M&M halves for ears.
  9. Cool: Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire cooling rack.

Notes

  • Let melted butter cool before mixing to prevent cooking the egg.
  • Cutting M&Ms in half makes fun bunny ear decorations.
  • Use parchment paper or ungreased sheets to prevent sticking.
