These Crescent Roll Apple Dumplings are cozy and irresistible! Juicy apple slices wrapped in flaky crescent dough, baked in a buttery brown sugar cinnamon sauce with a hint of vanilla—and finished with a splash of lemon-lime soda for extra gooey goodness. A comforting holiday dessert everyone loves!

Ingredients

  • 1 can crescent roll dough

  • 2 apples, peeled, cored, and halved (cut into 8 wedges)

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup lemon-lime soda (optional, like Sprite or 7UP)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch or 9×13-inch baking dish.

  2. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.

  3. Wrap each apple wedge in a crescent dough triangle and place seam-side down in the baking dish.

  4. In a bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Pour mixture evenly over the dumplings.

  5. Optional: Pour lemon-lime soda around the edges of the dish (not directly on top of dumplings).

  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.

  7. Serve warm, optionally topped with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

  • Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples work best for tartness and texture.

  • For extra richness, add a pinch of nutmeg or a splash of bourbon to the sauce.

  • Best served fresh but can be reheated gently in the oven or microwave.
