Flaky puff pastry bites filled with creamy Camembert, topped with tangy lingonberry jam and rosemary. A perfect balance of sweet and savory, ideal for holiday entertaining or party platters.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (ready-rolled)
  • 125 g Camembert cheese, sliced into small rectangles
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 2 tbsp lingonberry jam (or cranberry jam)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the puff pastry and cut into rectangles (approx. 2 x 3 inches).
  3. Place a slice of Camembert in the center of each piece.
  4. Fold edges slightly or leave open-faced. Brush the exposed pastry with beaten egg.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden and puffed.
  6. Remove from oven and top each bite with 1/2 tsp lingonberry jam and a small sprig of rosemary.
  7. Finish with a crack of black pepper and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use brie as a substitute if Camembert is unavailable.
  • Jam can be swapped for cranberry or fig preserves.
  • These can be assembled ahead of time and baked just before serving.
