These Bacon Wrapped Smokies are the ultimate party appetizer—mini smoked sausages wrapped in crispy bacon and baked with brown sugar for a sweet, smoky, and caramelized finish. Perfect for game day spreads, festive gatherings, or anytime you need a crowd-pleasing snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz) package mini smoked sausages (Lil’ Smokies)

  • 1 lb bacon, cut into thirds

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • Optional: fresh thyme or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
    Set oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and top with a wire rack for extra crispiness (optional).

  2. Wrap the Smokies:
    Wrap each sausage with a piece of bacon. Secure with a toothpick and place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

  3. Season:
    Sprinkle evenly with brown sugar and a dash of black pepper.

  4. Bake:
    Bake for 35–40 minutes or until bacon is crispy and sugar is bubbly and caramelized.

  5. Cool & Serve:
    Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley or thyme if desired.

Notes

  • For extra kick, mix a pinch of cayenne pepper into the brown sugar.
