Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup powdered sweetener (such as allulose or monk fruit)

Instructions

  1. Heat the heavy cream: Place a medium saucepan over medium heat and pour in the heavy cream. Bring it to a gentle boil while stirring occasionally to prevent scorching.
  2. Add butter and sweetener: Reduce the heat to low, then add the unsalted butter and powdered sweetener. Stir continuously until the butter is fully melted and the sweetener is completely dissolved.
  3. Simmer and reduce: Continue to simmer the mixture on low heat for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring constantly. During this time, the mixture will reduce by about half and thicken to a creamy condensed milk consistency.
  4. Cool and store: Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the condensed milk cool to room temperature. Transfer the cooled mixture to a clean jar and store it in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Notes

  • If you divide the condensed milk into standard servings of sweetened condensed milk, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) yields approximately 16 servings per batch.
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) equals about 8 servings per batch.
  • Net carbs are approximately 0 grams, as allulose and monk fruit are non-impact sweeteners suitable for keto diets.
