Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. Make the batter: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  3. Combine ingredients: Alternately mix in the dry ingredients and milk, stirring until smooth.
  4. Bake: Fill cupcake liners ¾ full and bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool completely.
  5. Prepare the frosting: Beat butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and milk, mixing until light and fluffy.
  6. Tint the frosting: Add Tiffany blue gel food coloring, a little at a time, until the desired shade is reached.
