Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb vegan ground beef (soy- or pea-protein based)
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp vegan Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup vegan cheddar shreds
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, chopped
  • 1/4 cup vegan mayo (optional)
  • 4 large flour tortillas (gluten-free if needed)
  • Lettuce or shredded romaine (optional for crunch)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft, about 4 minutes.
  2. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more. Add vegan ground beef and cook until browned and crumbly, about 6–8 minutes.
  3. Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook 2 more minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. Lay out tortillas and spread a spoonful of vegan mayo (if using) on each.
  5. Evenly divide the cooked filling between the wraps. Top with vegan cheddar, tomatoes, pickles, and lettuce if using.
  6. Roll each tortilla burrito-style and place seam-side down on a preheated grill pan or skillet.
  7. Grill 2–3 minutes per side until golden and cheese is melted.
  8. Slice in half and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use gluten-free tortillas for a gluten-free option.
  • Add avocado slices or jalapeños for extra flavor.
  • Wraps can be assembled ahead and grilled when ready to serve.
