These Valentine’s Day Chocolate-Covered Strawberries are a romantic and delicious treat, perfect for gifting or serving at special occasions. With white and milk chocolate coatings and festive sprinkles, they’re easy to make and beautifully customizable.

Ingredients

  • Fresh strawberries (large, firm, and ripe)
  • White chocolate melts or bars (high-quality, for coating)
  • Milk or dark chocolate melts (for drizzling)
  • Red heart sprinkles or heart-shaped royal icing transfers
  • Mini white marshmallows (for garnish if placing in a gift box)
  • Parchment paper
  • Toothpicks or dipping tool

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the strawberries. They must be completely dry for the chocolate to stick properly.
  2. Melt white chocolate in a heatproof bowl in the microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring between each, or use a double boiler.
  3. Optional: Melt milk or dark chocolate for drizzling.
  4. Holding each strawberry by the stem or using a dipping fork, dip into the melted white chocolate until coated. Place on a parchment-lined tray to set.
  5. Before the chocolate hardens, immediately add red heart sprinkles or icing decorations.
  6. For striped ones: Once white chocolate is set, drizzle melted milk or dark chocolate in fine lines using a piping bag or fork.
  7. For the reverse version, dip strawberries in milk chocolate and drizzle with melted white chocolate.
  8. Let them set at room temperature or refrigerate for 10–15 minutes.
  9. Present in mini cupcake liners or over a bed of mini marshmallows for gifting.

Notes

  • Make sure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to avoid chocolate seizing.
  • Use high-quality chocolate for best results.
  • Customize decorations with different sprinkles, edible glitter, or colored chocolate.
  • These are best enjoyed the same day but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
