Ingredients

Scale

Meats

  • 3 pork sausages
  • 2 bacon rashers

Egg & Bread

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 slice bread (for toast)
  • 1 slice thick-cut bread (for frying)

Vegetables

  • 45 button mushrooms, halved
  • 56 cherry tomatoes on the vine

Fats & Seasoning

  • Butter, as needed
  • Olive oil or neutral cooking oil, as needed
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Sausages: Heat a skillet over medium heat with a little oil. Add the sausages and cook, turning regularly, for 12–15 minutes until golden-brown and glossy. Remove them from the pan and keep warm.
  2. Fry the Bacon: Using the same pan, cook the bacon rashers over medium heat. Fry them until crispy but still slightly tender, about 3–4 minutes per side. Set aside on a warm plate.
  3. Sauté Mushrooms & Tomatoes: Add a small knob of butter to the pan. Sauté the halved mushrooms for 4–5 minutes until golden and tender. Then add the cherry tomatoes and cook just until blistered but still juicy. Season lightly with salt and black pepper to enhance their natural flavors.
  4. Cook the Egg: Heat a small pan with a little oil over low to medium heat. Crack in the egg and cook gently until the whites are fully set and the yolk remains round and sunny. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  5. Toast & Fry the Bread: Toast one slice of bread until deeply golden and butter it while hot. Then, fry the thick-cut bread in butter until crisp and golden on both sides. Cut the fried bread into triangles for easy serving.
  6. Plating: Center the sausages neatly on the plate. Arrange the bacon beside them with clean folds. Place the egg prominently, keeping the yolk intact and sunny. Add the buttered toast and fried bread triangles. Tuck the sautéed mushrooms and blistered tomatoes into the open spaces on the plate. Ensure the plate is clean, symmetrical, and free of crumbs for an inviting presentation.
