Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • ½ cup buffalo sauce (mild, medium, or hot)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter, plus more for brushing buns
  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
  • ½ cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
  • 2 green onions, finely sliced

Optional

  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Sesame seeds for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken Mixture: In a bowl, thoroughly mix the cooked shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, melted butter, and optional garlic powder until the chicken is fully coated with the sauce mixture.
  2. Assemble the Sliders: Slice the slider buns horizontally as a single sheet to keep the bottoms and tops together. Place the bottom half of the buns in a baking dish in one layer.
  3. Add Chicken and Cheese: Spread the buffalo chicken mixture evenly over the bottom buns, then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese on top of the chicken.
  4. Complete the Assembly: Place the top half of the buns back over the cheese. Lightly brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds on top if using.
  5. Bake the Sliders: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the assembled sliders for 10–12 minutes until the cheese has melted and the tops are golden brown.
  6. Serve and Garnish: Remove from the oven, drizzle with ranch or serve the dressing on the side for dipping. Garnish with finely sliced green onions. Cut the sliders apart and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra gooey sliders, add more cheese between the layers.
  • Use rotisserie chicken for quick and easy preparation.
  • Mix ranch dressing directly into the buffalo chicken for a creamier flavor.
  • Adjust the buffalo sauce spiciness to your preference: mild, medium, or hot.
  • Optional garlic powder adds extra depth of flavor but can be omitted.
