Ingredients

Units Scale

Crust

  • 2 cups chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreo)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • Green food coloring
  • 2 cups whipped cream (plus extra for topping)

Topping

  • Chocolate shavings (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Step 1 Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies until fine crumbs form. Mix the crumbs with the melted butter until evenly combined, then press the mixture into the bottom of a pie dish to form the crust.
  2. Step 2 In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the sweetened condensed milk and continue beating until fully incorporated.
  3. Step 3 Stir in peppermint extract and green food coloring to achieve the desired minty flavor and color. Fold in the whipped cream gently until well blended.
  4. Step 4 Pour the filling into the prepared crust and spread evenly. Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours to set. Before serving, top with extra whipped cream and sprinkle with chocolate shavings.

Notes

  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened for a smooth filling texture.
  • Adjust peppermint extract according to taste preference.
  • Chilling for a full 4 hours ensures the pie sets properly.
  • Use extra whipped cream and chocolate shavings for an attractive presentation.
