Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Rakı (anise-flavored spirit)
  • 60 ml Cold water
  • 34 Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Pour Rakı: Pour 60 ml of rakı into a serving glass to form the base of the drink.
  2. Add Cold Water: Carefully add 60 ml of cold water to the rakı, which will turn the clear liquid a milky white color due to the anise oils emulsifying.
  3. Add Ice: Finally, add 3-4 ice cubes to the glass to chill the drink and enhance its refreshing qualities.

Notes

  • The milky white color is a result of the anise oils emulsifying when water is added.
  • Always add water before ice to control dilution.
  • Rakı is traditionally enjoyed slowly alongside a variety of Turkish mezes.
  • Adjust water and ice quantity based on personal taste preference.
