This well-balanced, sweet but not too sweet drink tastes like a slice of peach pie on a hot day and is perfect for serving at any gathering or enjoying solo.

Ingredients

Scale

Cinnamon-Infused Simple Syrup

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 stick cinnamon

Peach Moscow Mule

  • 2 oz. peach puree (from about ½ fresh peach)
  • 3 oz. ginger beer
  • 1 ½ oz. vodka
  • ½ oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
  • ½ oz. cinnamon simple syrup (from above)
  • Ice for serving

Instructions

  1. Make the Cinnamon-Infused Simple Syrup: In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine ½ cup granulated sugar and ½ cup water and bring to a boil. Remove from heat, add 1 cinnamon stick, and cover the saucepan. Let it infuse for 30 minutes up to 3 hours, depending on how strong you want the cinnamon flavor. When the syrup has infused to your liking, strain out the cinnamon stick and pour the syrup into a mason jar. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. Prepare the Peach Puree: Using a blender, puree about half a fresh peach to yield 2 ounces of puree. If fresh peaches are unavailable, substitute with peach nectar or frozen peaches for a similar flavor and texture.
  3. Mix the Cocktail: In a copper mug or your preferred glass, measure and combine 2 oz. peach puree, 3 oz. ginger beer, 1½ oz. vodka, ½ oz. freshly squeezed lime juice, and ½ oz. cinnamon simple syrup. Stir with a cocktail spoon until all ingredients are well blended.
  4. Serve: Add ice to the mug to chill your cocktail, then enjoy immediately. For gatherings, you can prepare multiple servings by scaling up the ingredients and using frozen peach slices as ice to keep drinks flavorful without dilution.

Notes

  • The cinnamon-infused simple syrup recipe makes enough for approximately 8 Peach Moscow Mules.
  • Use peach nectar or frozen peaches as convenient alternatives if fresh peaches are not accessible. Canned peaches without syrup also work.
  • Both the cinnamon simple syrup and peach puree can be prepared well in advance to ease entertaining.
  • For larger parties, multiply the recipe and serve in a pitcher, using frozen peach slices instead of ice cubes to prevent dilution.
