Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 rolls refrigerated crescent dough
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest (optional)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 can (15 oz) peach slices in syrup, drained and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish with non-stick spray and line the bottom with one roll of crescent dough. Press the dough into the bottom to cover the dish completely.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and egg. Beat until smooth and creamy. Spread this mixture evenly over the dough in the baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, toss the chopped peaches with sugar and cinnamon (if using). Layer the peach mixture evenly on top of the cream cheese filling.
  5. Roll out the second roll of crescent dough and place it over the peaches, sealing the edges.
  6. Sprinkle sugar over the top and add lemon zest if desired.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is set.
  8. Let cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • Use fresh peaches if in season for even more flavor.
  • Chill before slicing for cleaner cuts and easier serving.
  • Add a drizzle of glaze or icing for extra sweetness.
