A homemade version of the classic Payday candy bar made with roasted peanuts, creamy peanut butter, mini marshmallows, and a sweet caramelized coating. A delicious treat that’s easy to make and full of rich peanut flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups roasted or honey roasted peanuts
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 package peanut butter chips (about 10 oz)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 package mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the roasted peanuts and mini marshmallows.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add peanut butter, peanut butter chips, and sweetened condensed milk. Stir constantly until everything is completely melted and smooth.
  4. Pour the melted peanut butter mixture over the peanuts and marshmallows. Stir to combine until everything is well-coated.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly and pressing down firmly to compact the mixture.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the bars are set and firm.
  7. Once set, cut into squares and serve the homemade Payday candy bars.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can sprinkle a bit of sea salt over the top before chilling.
  • Store these bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • If you prefer, you can use crunchy peanut butter for added texture in the bars.
