Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels, then brush both sides lightly with olive oil or melted butter.
  4. Press each fillet into the cheese mixture to coat evenly on both sides.
  5. Place fillets on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and the crust is golden.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
  • Swap tilapia for another white fish like cod or haddock if desired.
  • Pair with roasted veggies or a green salad for a complete meal.
