This Orange Greek Yogurt Cake Loaf is bright, moist, and infused with fresh orange zest and juice. Creamy Greek yogurt keeps the crumb tender and rich, while a simple citrus glaze adds a sweet finish. Perfect as a spring treat, brunch dessert, or afternoon snack with tea or coffee.

Ingredients

For the Cake:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 tablespoon orange zest

  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 2-3 tablespoons fresh orange juice

Optional Garnish:

 

  • Orange zest curls

  • Edible flowers or candied orange slices

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

  • In a separate large bowl, mix together Greek yogurt, sugar, eggs, orange zest, orange juice, and vanilla until smooth.

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir just until combined.

  • Fold in the vegetable oil until the batter is fully incorporated and smooth.

  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

  • Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • Whisk together powdered sugar and orange juice to make the glaze. Drizzle over the cooled loaf.

 

  • Garnish as desired and serve

Notes

  • You can swap orange for blood orange or tangerine for a flavor twist.

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.

  • Delicious served slightly warm with a dollop of whipped cream or Greek yogurt.
