These Mini Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches offer a delicious and easy-to-make twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak. Thinly sliced sirloin is sautéed with onions and green peppers, then topped with melted provolone cheese inside mini slider rolls. Perfect for parties, snacks, or a quick meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • ½ lb thinly sliced sirloin or shaved beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese, cut into quarters
  • 12 mini slider rolls
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Optional

  • 1 tbsp mayo for spreading

Instructions

  1. Prepare the vegetables: Thinly slice the onion and green bell pepper to ensure they cook evenly and soften quickly during sautéing.
  2. Sauté onions and peppers: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and green bell pepper and cook for about 5 minutes until they become soft and fragrant.
  3. Cook the beef: Add the thinly sliced sirloin, along with ½ teaspoon of salt and ½ teaspoon of black pepper, to the skillet with the onions and peppers. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and cooked through.
  4. Assemble the sliders: Spoon the cooked beef and vegetable mixture evenly into the 12 mini slider rolls. Top each with a quarter slice of provolone cheese.
  5. Bake to melt cheese: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the assembled sliders on a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes, or until the provolone cheese melts and becomes gooey.
  6. Optional finishing touch: Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise inside the slider rolls before assembling if desired, then serve the sandwiches warm and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add sautéed mushrooms or a dash of Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture.
  • Use fresh provolone cheese for best melting results.
  • These sandwiches can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
  • If preferred, replace slider rolls with hoagie rolls or small sandwich buns.
