Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded konafa dough
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed pineapple (optional)
  • 1/4 cup crushed roasted nuts (like pistachios or almonds)
  • Fresh whipped cream (optional)
  • Extra mango chunks for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded konafa dough, melted butter, and sugar. Mix thoroughly to coat the dough evenly.
  3. Spread the konafa mixture onto a baking sheet in a thin layer. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk the heavy whipping cream, condensed milk, cream cheese, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  5. Gently fold in the diced mangoes and crushed pineapple (if using). Stir until well combined.
  6. Spoon the mango filling into individual dessert cups or glasses, layering it on top of the konafa base.
  7. Once the konafa has cooled, crumble it into small pieces and sprinkle it generously over the mango filling.
  8. Top each cup with a dollop of fresh whipped cream (optional) and garnish with additional mango chunks and crushed roasted nuts.
  9. Serve the Konafa Mango Cups chilled for a refreshing, creamy, and crispy dessert.

Notes

  • You can prepare the konafa and mango filling a day ahead and assemble just before serving.
  • For extra texture, lightly toast the konafa again before adding to the cups.
  • Substitute crushed pineapple with other tropical fruits like passion fruit or papaya for variety.
