his vibrant Homemade Blueberry Soda—a refreshing, lightly fizzy mocktail bursting with real fruit flavor. Made with antioxidant-rich blueberries, lemon juice, and a touch of honey or maple syrup, this naturally sweet drink is the perfect non-alcoholic springtime beverage for both adults and kids.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

  • 1/3 cup water

  • 2-3 tbsp honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • Sparkling water (plain or lightly flavored)

  • Ice cubes

  • Extra blueberries, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine blueberries, water, and sweetener.

  • Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 8–10 minutes until berries burst and syrup thickens.

  • Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice.

  • Strain through a fine mesh sieve into a jar or bowl. Discard solids.

  • Fill two tall glasses with ice. Add 2–3 tablespoons of blueberry syrup to each.

  • Top with cold sparkling water and stir gently.

  • Garnish with fresh blueberries and serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

This syrup can be stored in the fridge for up to 1 week. For a stronger fizz, use club soda. For added tartness, add more lemon juice or a splash of lime.
