Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 6 Oreo cookies
  • 1 tbsp melted butter

Cheesecake Filling

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp sour cream
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 small egg (or half of a large egg)
  • 1 crushed Oreo (optional mix-in)

Decoration (Optional)

  • Melted white chocolate drizzle
  • Crushed Oreos
  • Pink sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare your heart molds: Use silicone heart molds for best results and lightly grease them to prevent sticking.
  2. Make the Oreo crust: Crush 6 Oreos into fine crumbs, mix with melted butter until sandy, then press firmly into the bottom of each heart mold. Freeze for 10 minutes to set the crust firmly. Use a spoon or the back of a measuring cup to press for perfectly flat bases.
  3. Make the cheesecake filling: Beat softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy. Add the egg and gently combine without overmixing. Fold in one crushed Oreo if desired for added texture.
  4. Fill and bake: Spoon the cheesecake filling into each heart mold over the crust. Tap the molds lightly to release any air bubbles. Bake in a preheated oven at 325°F (163°C) for 15 to 17 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers remain slightly jiggly.
  5. Chill: Allow the bites to cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour before removing from the molds to ensure they firm up properly.
  6. Decorate: Once chilled, drizzle with melted white chocolate, sprinkle with crushed Oreos, or add pink Valentine sprinkles for a festive finishing touch.

Notes

  • If using a large egg, beat it and use only 2 tablespoons of the mixture to avoid over-egging the batter.
  • For a creative twist, add 1 tablespoon raspberry puree to the cheesecake filling to create pink swirls.
  • Warm the cream cheese before mixing to ensure a smooth batter and prevent cracks during baking.
  • Baking at a low temperature ensures a creamy texture while preventing overcooking.
  • Silicone molds make it easy to pop out perfectly shaped heart bites.
  • Letting the cheesecake bites chill fully enhances their flavor and texture.
  • Store refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 1 month; thaw in the fridge before eating.
