Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 36 Oreo cookies
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups melting chocolate wafers
  • Sprinkles, for decorating
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate

Instructions

  1. Crush Oreos: Place Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until they become fine crumbs.
  2. Combine with Cream Cheese: Mix the Oreo crumbs with softened cream cheese until the mixture is well combined and smooth.
  3. Mold and Freeze: Scoop the mixture into heart-shaped mold cavities and press flat using a spatula. Freeze for 25-30 minutes or until the mixture is firm.
  4. Melt Chocolate: Melt the chocolate wafers in 30-second intervals in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring between intervals until smooth according to package directions.
  5. Dip and Set: Remove the firm heart-shaped truffles from the mold and dip them into the melted chocolate. Shake off the excess chocolate and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for 5 minutes to help the chocolate set.
  6. Decorate: Melt the white chocolate and transfer it into a piping bag. Drizzle the white chocolate over the heart truffles and immediately add sprinkles for decoration.
  7. Store: Keep the truffles refrigerated until ready to serve to maintain freshness and shape.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easy mixing.
  • Use heart-shaped molds for festive presentation, but silicone molds work best for easy removal.
  • The truffles should be kept refrigerated to maintain firmness and freshness.
  • You can substitute dark or milk melting wafers for varied chocolate flavor.
  • Store leftover truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
