Main Ingredients
2 large burrata balls
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
as needed cup vegetable oil for frying
to taste salt and pepper
Spicy Sauce
0.25 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Sriracha
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 clove garlic, minced
Garnish
fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions
Prepare Burrata: Gently pat the burrata balls dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
Setup Breading Stations: In three separate bowls, place the flour seasoned with salt and pepper in the first bowl, beaten eggs in the second, and panko breadcrumbs in the third.
Bread Burrata: Take one burrata ball and coat it lightly in the flour, shaking off the excess. Then dip it into the beaten eggs, ensuring it’s fully coated. Finally, roll it in the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere. Repeat with the second burrata ball.
Heat Oil: In a large frying pan, heat about 1-2 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Fry Burrata: Carefully place the breaded burrata balls into the hot oil, frying them for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove them with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Make Sauce: In a small mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, Sriracha, honey, lime juice, and minced garlic. Stir until well blended.
Serve: Place the fried burrata on a serving platter. Drizzle the spicy sauce over the top or serve it on the side for dipping. Garnish with chopped cilantro.
Notes
Be sure to dry the burrata well to help the breading stick properly.
Maintain the oil temperature around 350°F for crispy, golden results.
