1cup all-purpose flour
1/2cup granulated sugar
1/4cup unsalted butter (softened)
3 large eggs (room temperature)
1/2cup whole milk
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
Glaze
1cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp water or milk
Instructions
Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine Ingredients: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, milk, sugar, and salt; stir until melted but do not boil.
Add Flour and Baking Powder: Remove from heat and add flour and baking powder all at once; stir vigorously until a dough forms.
Cool and Add Eggs: Allow to cool for a few minutes before incorporating eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until smooth.
Pipe Dough: Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe ‘U’ shapes onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake and Glaze: Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before glazing by dipping each cruller into the mixture of powdered sugar and water or milk.
