A fun and vibrant cake with a light, airy texture, infused with sweet cotton candy flavor and colorful layers that make it the perfect dessert for any celebration.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/4 tsp Cotton candy flavoring
  • 1 Food coloring (blue and pink)
  • 1 box White cake mix
  • 2 boxes White chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 3 cups Milk
  • 1 packet Cotton candy (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round cake pans.
  2. Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions, adding the cotton candy flavoring to the batter.
  3. Divide the cake batter into two equal portions. In one portion, mix in blue food coloring, and in the other, mix in pink food coloring.
  4. Pour the blue batter into one cake pan and the pink batter into the other. Smooth the tops with a spatula.
  5. Bake the cakes for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. While the cakes are cooling, prepare the frosting. In a large bowl, whisk together the white chocolate instant pudding mix and milk until thickened.
  7. Once the cakes have cooled, spread a layer of frosting on top of the blue cake. Place the pink cake on top and frost the entire cake with the remaining frosting.
  8. Garnish the top of the cake with a bit of cotton candy for a whimsical touch.

Notes

  • Ensure the cotton candy flavoring is well mixed into the batter for an even flavor throughout the cake.
  • For a more vibrant color, you can add more food coloring to the batter until you reach your desired shade.
  • If you don’t have cotton candy flavoring, you can use other sweet flavors like vanilla or bubblegum for a fun twist.
