These Apple Rose Puff Pastries (Easy & Elegant) are as beautiful as they are delicious — thinly sliced apples wrapped in golden puff pastry, glazed with apricot jam, and baked into delicate rose-shaped desserts. A romantic and easy bake that will wow at brunch, tea time, or your next gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

  • 2 red apples, thinly sliced

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 3 tbsp apricot jam

  • 1 tbsp water

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a muffin tin.

  2. Core apples and slice them very thin. Microwave with lemon juice and a splash of water for 2 minutes until pliable. Drain and let cool.

  3. Roll out puff pastry and cut into 6 long, even strips.

  4. Mix apricot jam with 1 tbsp water and spread a thin layer on each pastry strip.

  5. Lay apple slices along one edge of each strip, overlapping slightly with the curved side peeking out. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

  6. Fold the pastry over the apples lengthwise, then roll tightly to form a rose shape.

  7. Place each rose in the prepared muffin tin.

  8. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until pastry is golden and apples are tender.

  9. Let cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Use a mandoline for evenly thin apple slices.

  • Red-skinned apples like Gala or Fuji work best for the rose appearance.

  • Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream or scoop of vanilla ice cream.
