A decadent twist on the classic campfire treat, these Deep Fried S’mores feature gooey chocolate and marshmallow sandwiched between graham crackers, dipped in pancake batter, deep-fried, and dusted with powdered sugar.

Ingredients

  • 6 graham cracker squares
  • 6 large marshmallows
  • 3 chocolate bars (broken into squares)
  • 1 cup pancake batter (store-bought or homemade)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or heavy saucepan to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Assemble the s’mores: place a piece of chocolate and one marshmallow between two graham cracker halves to make a sandwich. Repeat to make 3 s’mores.
  3. Dip each s’more into the pancake batter, coating all sides completely.
  4. Carefully place into the hot oil and fry for 1–2 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use a toothpick or fork to dip and turn s’mores easily in hot oil.
  • Handle with care—centers will be very hot when freshly fried.
  • Try drizzling with chocolate syrup or caramel for extra indulgence.
