These dark chocolate nut squares offer an indulgent and nourishing crunch that feels like a dessert but serves as a wholesome power snack perfect for workouts, afternoon slumps, or post-dinner treats.

Ingredients

  • 75g almonds raw
  • 55g cashews raw
  • 30g pecans raw
  • 40g pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
  • pinch of salt
  • 50g dark chocolate melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 180C/160C fan/350F.
  2. Mix ingredients: Mix the nuts, seeds, salt and maple syrup in a bowl, then press into moulds of choice. I used a square silicon ice tray.
  3. Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crunchy. Allow to cool completely.
  4. Add chocolate: Drizzle the melted dark chocolate on top, or dip each in the chocolate.
  5. Set chocolate: Refrigerate just until the chocolate is set and enjoy!

Notes

  • Allow to cool completely before adding melted chocolate.
  • Use silicon ice trays or moulds for easy shaping.
