Ingredients
UnitsScale
12oz penne pasta
2 princess sausages, sliced
1cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/2cup black olives, chopped
1cup heavy cream
1/2cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions
Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the sliced princess sausages and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
Add the minced garlic to the pan and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes, then add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until the sauce thickens.
Add the cooked pasta to the pan, tossing to coat with the creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency.
Stir in the halved cherry tomatoes and chopped black olives, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Serve the pasta in bowls, garnished with fresh basil or parsley for added flavor.
Notes
Princess sausage can be substituted with chicken or turkey sausage if preferred.
For added flavor, sprinkle with extra Parmesan before serving.
This dish pairs well with a side salad or garlic bread.
