These festive Christmas Tree Deviled Eggs are a charming and delicious holiday appetizer, perfect for celebrations. Classic deviled eggs get a seasonal twist with green-colored filling piped into tree shapes, adorned with colorful garnishes resembling ornaments and stars for a vibrant and fun presentation.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Eggs:

  • 6 large boiled eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the Filling:

  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Green food coloring, a few drops

For Garnish:

  • Cherry tomatoes or red bell pepper pieces, diced (for “ornaments”)
  • Shredded carrot or yellow bell pepper (for “star” on top)
  • Paprika or chives, optional for extra color

Instructions

  1. Boil the Eggs: Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water by about an inch. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, then cover and remove from heat. Let eggs sit for 10–12 minutes. Drain and transfer immediately to ice water to cool and stop cooking.
  2. Prepare the Yolks: Peel the cooled eggs carefully and slice them lengthwise. Remove yolks and place in a mixing bowl. Mash with a fork until crumbly.
  3. Make the Filling: Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the mashed yolks. Whisk continuously until smooth and creamy. Add green food coloring and mix until vibrant green.
  4. Fill the Egg Whites: Spoon the filling into a piping bag or zip-top bag with a corner snipped. Pipe the filling into egg white halves, forming small tree-like peaks. Shape gently as needed to resemble Christmas trees.
  5. Add Garnishes: Decorate the green filling with diced cherry tomatoes or red bell pepper pieces as ornaments. Add shredded carrot or yellow bell pepper at the tip for a star. Optionally, sprinkle paprika or chopped chives for extra festive color.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Arrange the Christmas tree deviled eggs on a serving platter. Keep refrigerated until serving. Enjoy your beautiful and tasty festive appetizer!
