Shape donuts Roll dough to about ½ inch thickness and cut donut shapes with a cutter.
Second rise Let donuts rise again for 30 minutes.
Fry donuts Heat oil to 175°C (350°F) and fry donuts 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Make chocolate glaze Heat heavy cream and pour over chocolate chips. Stir until smooth and glossy, then add butter.
Toast coconut In a dry pan, toast shredded coconut over medium heat until golden and fragrant.
Coat donuts Dip each donut in chocolate glaze, then roll in toasted coconut.
Add cream topping Whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until thick. Add a scoop or swirl on top of each donut.
Serve Enjoy fresh for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
Toast coconut slowly to avoid burning.
Donuts taste best fresh the same day.
You can fill the center with cream or chocolate custard for an extra indulgent version.
