Ingredients
UnitsScale
1cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4cup cocoa powder
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 large eggs
3/4cup milk
2 tbsp vegetable oil or melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
1/4cup chocolate sauce (for serving)
Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then mix in milk, oil (or melted butter), and vanilla extract.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease.
Pour 1/4 cup batter per pancake into the pan and cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook the other side for another 1–2 minutes.
Stack the pancakes while warm, layering with additional chocolate chips or pieces if desired.
Drizzle generously with warm chocolate sauce before serving.
Notes
Do not overmix the batter to keep the pancakes fluffy.
Use high-quality cocoa powder and chocolate chips for a richer taste.
Warm the chocolate sauce slightly before drizzling for smoother pouring.
Serve with whipped cream or fresh berries for added flair.
