This Blueberry Milk Tea is a fruity, floral fusion of juicy blueberry syrup, smooth black tea, and creamy milk. With its dreamy lavender hue and boba shop-worthy vibe, it’s the ultimate refreshment for tea lovers and a picture-perfect homemade bubble tea treat.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

  • 2 tbsp sugar (or honey/maple syrup)

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1 cup black tea, brewed and cooled

  • 3/4 cup whole milk or oat milk

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

  • 1/4 cup tapioca pearls (optional, cooked)

  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Make the Blueberry Syrup:
In a small saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, and water. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until blueberries burst and the syrup thickens. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  2. Brew the Tea:
Prepare black tea ahead of time and allow it to cool completely in the fridge.

  3. Assemble the Drink:

    • Add cooked tapioca pearls to a serving glass, if using.

    • Spoon blueberry syrup along the sides of the glass for a beautiful swirl.

    • Add ice cubes, then pour in black tea.

    • Top with milk and vanilla extract (if using).

    • Stir gently to mix.

  4. Garnish and Serve:
Add a few fresh blueberries on top or enjoy with a wide straw for a boba experience.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more or less sugar to the syrup.

  • For a stronger tea flavor, steep the black tea longer or use an extra tea bag.

  • For a creamier texture, substitute half-and-half or condensed milk.
