Ingredients
UnitsScale
200g udon noodles
200g beef (sirloin or flank steak), thinly sliced
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon chili sauce (such as Sriracha or chili paste)
1 teaspoon sugar
2 green onions, chopped
Salt to taste
Instructions
Cook the udon noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add the beef slices to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, add soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, chili sauce, and sugar. Stir and bring to a simmer, cooking for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Add the cooked udon noodles to the pan and toss to coat them in the chili sauce. Add a pinch of salt if needed.
Serve the noodles in a bowl, topped with the cooked beef and garnished with fresh green onions.
For extra heat, drizzle more chili sauce on top before serving.
Notes
Use pre-cooked udon noodles for a quicker meal prep.
Thinly slicing the beef against the grain helps keep it tender.
Add vegetables like bok choy or mushrooms for extra flavor and nutrition.
